Trent McFarland Rodeo Clown – Friday & Saturday
By Dave Skillington
The Mule Day Committee has Rodeo Clown Retuning for 2017. Trent McFarland, from Hope Hull, Alabama. He along with his father Sid McFarland, have been coming to Maury County’s Sheriff’s Rodeo for the past several years. He has always put on a great show, and is very much in demand. We did not know until he was approached about coming to Mule Day, that he owned a white mule named “Barthal” that he uses when he attends mule events, which he is bringing to Mule Day.
He has over 20 years of experience entertaining crowds with his “quick wit”, crowd interaction, and high energy. He was fortunate to be raised in a clown family and has spent many years learning from one of the best in the business, his father, Sid McFarland.
He will have at least two shows while here in Columbia for Mule Day. His first scheduled show will be on Friday, starting at 12:00 noon, which will lead into our Stick Mule Rodeo, that starts at 2:00 PM that day. This will be a perfect lead-in for the children, on their stick mules. His other scheduled show will be after the Draft Mule Show on Saturday, starting at 6:00 PM. He is going to be at Mule Day for two full days, and he is willing to put on another show, if arena time permits.
Trent and Barthal will be set-up behind the barns, with his trailer, so go by and meet him first hand Friday and Saturday, and get your picture made with Barthal.
