Mule Day Hall of Fame

The Mule Day Committee selected two new members to the MULE DAY HALL OF FAME FOR 2017.  They are Anita King and Helen Malugin.
Anita King has been the Director of our Mule Pulling since 2003, which is one of our most watched shows.  It has grown over the past eight years, and due to the number of teams that compete; Anita has had to have the Pony Pull on Friday night, with Larger Mules competing on Saturday.  Anita’s father started taking her to Mule Pulls when she five years old, so she got an early start. She starts going to Mule Pulls in March and continues until October.  She and her late husband W.E. King have had many champion teams over the years.
Helen Malugin along with her husband Thomas joined the Club during the 1970′s, and got involved in Mule Day shorty thereafter.  They hosted a trail ride and wagon train during these early days, before we started the three day Wagon Train that we have today.  She always helps-out in the in the Mule Day Office at Maury County Park during Mule Day week.
Both were honored for their outstanding contributions and hard work in the continued success for our Mule Day event.
