This show demonstrates how well mules work to wagons and how well they are trained to both “lines” and voice command. It takes a lot of time, practice, with driving skills to make everything come together. As you watch this show you will soon learn how the driver gets the mules attention and also how he gets them to go in the direction
Gaited Mule Tennessee State Championship Friday 6:00 PM
At the Tennessee Gaited Mule State Championship you’ll enjoy watching the very best gaited mules from Tennessee and across the entire United States strut their stuff. This event highlights the gaited mule, which is any mule that has a smooth gait other than a walk, and one which is distinct from a trot. Whatever the gait may be called, its primary virtue is smoothness.
Pony Mule Pulling Friday 6:00 PM
These little guys pack a big punch when it comes to pulling. The Over All Champion in 2012 also won the Pony Mule Championship which proves that bigger isn’t always better! Weigh-in from 3PM – 5PM. 2013 Mule Day Champion Auctioneer Contest Friday 10:00 AM
The Columbia Breakfast Rotary Club hosted the First Annual Mule Day Auctioneer Contest on March 25, 2012. The contest was held at the Tennessee Livestock Producers Sale Barn in Columbia, TN. Auctioneers from Tennessee, Alabama and Mississippi came to see if they could claim the 2012 Grand Champion Mule Day Auctioneer belt buckle. The Tennessee Livestock Producers Sale Barn was full of excitement as the contest
